Google for Authentication:
If you are logged in to your browser with a different Gmail account, you must either log out, or add your Cooley account as a second account.
Click the account logo next to the Settings menu in the upper right corner, and click Add at the bottom. (Detailed instructions available here.)
2-step verification, also called 2-factor authentication will be required for all WMU-Cooley accounts as of August 22, 2021 - set it up now, to prevent getting locked out of your Email, Google Apps, Canvas, and Cooley Connect.
Set up your Cooley Password reset options:
Never lose access to your Cooley account again! Go to https://onedrive.com - log in with your Cooley email address and password.
You will be prompted to set up your password reset options using either a cellphone number, a different phone number, or an alternate email address. This will allow you to reset your own password in the future. (Detailed instructions are available here.)
Changing Password Policies. What do I need to do ?
After August 15, 2021 you will start getting email reminders to change your password.
The new password must be at least 14 characters long. It must include upper case and lower case letters and numbers.
After this change your password will no longer expire. You will be able to keep this new password.
I forgot my password. What do I need to do?
Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ and follow the password reset prompts.
After you change your password
You will have to log in to WMUCooley Wi-Fi again to be able to get online while on campus
You will have to use the new password to log in to the VM / Lab
You may be prompted to log in to your Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with the new password
You will need to change the password for Wi-Fi, Connect-App, Canvas App, Webex App and email on your mobile devices
Your Cooley laptop (faculty/staff) user account password will no longer match your Cooley network password
WMU Cooley Law School began requiring all of our students to have access to a laptop computer beginning in the Michaelmas (September) 2020 semester.
This requirement ensures continued remote access to your WMU-Cooley email, Cooley Connect, Canvas and other important resources. It also allows further innovation by our faculty in the way they assess and interact with you, both remotely and when we return to the classroom.
Please find the minimum specifications for a laptop computer here. These are particularly important to ensure access to our exam platforms and Webex. For those who already own a laptop, please make sure that your machine meets these minimum specifications. Verify the specifications for your current laptop with the help of this document:
Do You Need Microsoft Office for Word Processing?
Utilize the features of Office 365 (Office 2016) - register with your Cooley account.
Note: Your Cooley email will become your "Microsoft Account". The password for the Microsoft account will be the same as your Cooley network password.
Use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Use OneDrive for file storage and file sharing.
Google Apps for Education
Your Cooley account is a Google Apps for Education account that also gives you access to many different tools.
http://learn.googleapps.com - Here you will find introductory information to many of the features, but be aware that not all the features mentioned will be available through your Cooley.edu account. Check out Gmail, Hangouts, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms.
Use Google Drive to back up all your important documents. Your Cooley account comes with unlimited storage for mail as well as documents.
Google Drive File Stream is a desktop application that allows you to quickly access all of your Google Drive files on demand, directly from your computer without losing precious hard drive space. More info here.

Printing over the wireless network is fast and easy. Go to papercut.cooley.edu while on campus and use your Cooley username and password to login and submit your print job.
You will be guided through the process of uploading your documents to print.
You have an initial balance of 500 sheets (the equivalent of $40.00) available per term. When that is used up, you can add money to your print account at papercut.cooley.edu (menu on the left).
Each campus has several printers where you can release your print jobs, including the computer lab. To provide security for your print jobs, the print release station will hold your print job until you enter your username and password to release it.
